Matthew Stafford’s wife joins Kylie Kelce to put an end to the question she’s asked most often about her daughters

Matthew Stafford‘s wife, Kelly Stafford, has publicly joined Philadelphia Eagles star Jason Kelce‘s wife, Kylie Kelce, in addressing the recurring question about having a boy, highlighting the shared joy both couples experience in raising four daughters each.

Kylie Kelce, mother of Wyatt, Elliotte, Bennett, and Finnley, has often faced inquiries about whether she wished for a son.

Meanwhile, Kelly Stafford shares four daughters with Matthew Stafford: twins Sawyer and Chandler, born in March 2017, followed by Hunter in August 2018, and Tyler in June 2020.

Appearing on the podcast Conversations with Cam, Kylie Kelce addressed the frequent question regarding her lack of male heirs. “I love having all girls. I don’t feel like I’m missing out on anything at all,” she said.

“And so for people to be like, ‘Well, don’t you wish you had a boy?’ It’s like, ‘No, I have my kids. Which one are you gonna swap?'”

Shortly after, an Instagram page shared her quotes, prompting Kelly Stafford to publicly echo the sentiment, celebrating the joys of girl parenting.

“Story of my life,” Kelly wrote in her Instagram story. “Maybe it comes as a surprise for some, but we love being girl parents and wouldn’t wish for anything else.. and yes, WE.”

Jason Kelce and Kylie Kelce first connected on Tinder in 2015. Kylie swiped right without realizing Jason was an NFL star, and after confirming his identity online, they met at a bar.

Despite a brief nap during that first meeting, their relationship progressed quickly, culminating in engagement and marriage on April 14, 2018.

Since then, the couple has raised four daughters, transforming a chance digital encounter into a lasting, humor-filled partnership.

Meanwhile, Matthew Stafford and Kelly Hall met at the University of Georgia, where Stafford played quarterback and Kelly was a cheerleader.

Their college connection grew into a lasting bond, overcoming early distance and challenges to solidify their partnership.

The couple married on April 4, 2015, and now shares four daughters, supporting each other through Stafford‘s NFL career and Kelly‘s recovery from brain surgery.

Rams look to prepare for Stafford’s long-term succession

The Los Angeles Rams have few roster gaps entering 2026, but quarterback depth behind Stafford remains limited. Stetson Bennett IV serves as the only backup, and 2025 reserve Jimmy Garoppolo remains unsigned, leaving potential vulnerability at a crucial position.

Although the 38-year-old Stafford is coming off his first MVP in 2025 and third Pro Bowl selection, his age underscores the need for a succession plan. Drafting a rookie quarterback could secure the franchise’s future while keeping the team competitive for the Super Bowl.

Ty Simpson, quarterback for the Alabama Crimson Tide, is projected as a top prospect at No. 13 overall in the 2026 NFL Draft. Over 15 games in the SEC, he accumulated 3,567 passing yards, 28 touchdowns, and five interceptions, showcasing readiness to learn from a veteran while developing at SoFi Stadium.

“You can make the case that the Rams’ biggest roster need is a backup quarterback,” noted Moe Moton of Bleacher Report. “And it’s not a stretch to strengthen that position with the No. 13 pick, investing in Stafford‘s long-term replacement strategy effectively.”

Simpson mirrors Stafford in skillset, featuring a strong arm, aggressive passing, and moderate mobility. Under the guidance of Stafford and head coach Sean McVay, he could gradually be groomed into a long-term solution while providing immediate depth for the franchise.
