Since they first surfaced around 2020, the so-called “Epstein Files” have fueled endless speculation and conspiracy theories. Amid the controversy, former tennis champion Martina Navratilova has consistently pointed to one name she believes is central to the documents: Donald Trump.
Navratilova’s disdain for Trump is no secret, rivaling the infamously broken friendship between the U.S. president and the late financier and convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein. The 18-time Grand Slam winner rarely misses an opportunity to criticize Trump-especially when it comes to the Epstein case.
The ongoing delay in releasing the Epstein Files has been a recurring target of Navratilova’s ire. Just weeks ago, she posted a sarcastic tweet: “See??? Trump barely knew the guy,” reacting to reports that Trump’s name had been edited from the files.
“Trump only cares about himself”
As renewed calls for transparency around the EpsteinFiles gained momentum, the Trump administration remained largely silent. Navratilova seized the moment to launch another pointed critique.
“If Trump didn’t show up in the Epstein files in a really bad way (rapes, pedophilia) he would have released them long ago, no matter who else goes down,” she wrote on X (formerly Twitter). “He only cares, and will ever care, about himself. But because it’s clear what he has done, we won’t see them if Trump can help it.”
Her comments sparked backlash from Trump supporters, but Navratilova stood firm. “Really funny to see all the MAGA people saying ‘What about Biden‘ when I talk about Trump’s failure to release the Epstein files-whatever they might contain,” she replied.
Navratilova doubles down on Trump’s motives
The nine-time Wimbledon champion continued her criticism, accusing Trump of deliberately withholding the files. “You all know why Trump isn’t releasing them-he has all the power. Democrats are all for it, regardless of who’s in them!” she declared.
As political tensions rise over the fate of the Epstein Files, one thing remains clear: Martina Navratilova is determined to keep Donald Trump in the spotlight.
