Hollywood Brown reveals Rondale Moore texted him hours before his death
Perhaps the most upsetting messages in the aftermath came from Marquise “Hollywood” Brown. Brown was Moore’s teammate in Arizona’s wide receiver room for two seasons in 2022 and 2023. Hollywood revealed that he had received a text message from Moore mere hours before his death.
Other former Cardinals teammates reacted as well, with defensive linemen Zach Allen and J.J. Watt sending messages on social media. Watt was emotionally distraught trying to comprehend what had happened. Watt and Allen were Moore’s teammates for the first two seasons of the wide receiver’s career.
Other players around the league, like Jamal Adams and Elijah Moore, tried to shed more light on how situations players who have to go through adversity – like injuries – are incredibly difficult.
