Young football talent Kobbie Mainoo is the newest face to join the Beats by Dre family, signing on as a global ambassador for the renowned audio brand. This partnership kicks off with a campaign titled ‘Run the Track,’ offering a glimpse into the life of the Manchester United and England midfielder as he navigates his daily routine in Manchester.
The ‘Run the Track’ short film provides an intimate look at Mainoo’s off-pitch life, highlighting the dedication he brings to his endeavors and the motivational power of music from his go-to artists. The campaign also sees Mainoo collaborate with Manchester artist Nemzzz, emphasizing how music can fuel and focus individuals, including rising stars in the world of sports.
Nemzzz’s track “ABC” provides the initial soundtrack to Mainoo’s journey in the film, later transitioning to “STOP IT” from the artist’s latest album, “RENT’S DUE.” This musical backdrop underscores the integral role music plays in Mainoo’s preparation and mindset.
Mainoo’s Connection to Music
Reflecting on the partnership, Mainoo shared, “Ever since I was a kid, music has been a big part of my life! Nowadays, I have specific playlists to get me in the zone for different moments, like staying locked in during training or getting ready for a big game. I’ve always been a huge fan of Beats, so I’m really excited to be able to work together.”
In the campaign video, Mainoo is seen sporting the brand’s Powerbeats Pro 2, while Nemzzz appears wearing the Beats Studio Pro. The broader campaign imagery also features other Beats products, such as the portable Beats Pill and the Beats Solo 4 headphones, showcasing the brand’s diverse range.
Joining a Star-Studded Roster
The 20-year-old Mainoo joins a growing list of prominent athletes who have partnered with Beats by Dre, including fellow young football star Lamine Yamal (announced earlier this month), as well as global icons like Lionel Messi, Alessia Russo, and LeBron James.
