Why did Magic Johnson choose these five players?

“Nobody is like Kobe. His killer mentality, making important baskets after important baskets, but he also loved being a Laker, he loved playing in Los Angeles. He represented the city. Let’s applaud Kobe. We miss him,” Magic Johnson.“Nobody is like Kareem. Oh my God, the skyhook. He was so smart, his basketball IQ through the roof. I just loved playing with Kareem. It’s just amazing.”, Magic Jhonson.“And then when you think about the other guys, you have to remember I didn’t play with Wilt, I didn’t play with Jerry. You have to include them. Shaq was amazing. So it’s better for me to talk about the guys that I could see, because it would be wrong if I tried to go back. So I would say Kareem, Shaq, Kobe, and when I think about it, you have to include Wilt and Jerry.”, Magic Jhonson.

What about LeBron James?

“James Worthy would definitely qualify. But you try to make five Lakers, and it’s impossible. Because now you have to include LeBron. So I don’t know how to get to five.”, Magic Jhonson.
