Madison Beer spoke candidly and without hesitation on Alex Cooper’s podcast Call Her Daddy, openly discussing the mental health struggles she has faced over the years. During the conversation, she addressed the emotional burden she carried as a teenager when private photos of her were leaked online, an incident that made her feel as if her entire world was collapsing and ultimately pushed her toward drastic actions.
On the podcast, she revealed that she had always believed she would die young, convinced it would happen by suicide. Unfortunately, Madison endured two suicide attempts. One of them was directly related to the distress caused by the images that circulated online, leaving her overwhelmed, ashamed, and unable to see a way forward.
She now says she sees life differently, but at the time, she felt lost, and that sense of despair drove her to make a heartbreaking decision.
She also said she is grateful that both attempts were unsuccessful and expressed a wish that she could go back in time to comfort her younger self, offering the reassurance and emotional support she desperately needed to face what was happening.
Depression has affected her relationships
Alex Cooper also asked Madison if she felt depression had influenced her romantic relationships. She responded that she has been codependent in the relationships she has had, acknowledging that her struggle with mental health often shaped the dynamics she developed with others.
She added that she does not spend much time alone, though now she approaches potential long-term relationships with a more thoughtful and measured mindset. Regarding her current relationship with Los Angeles Chargers quarterback Justin Herbert, she explained that, for the first time, she feels she is with someone who genuinely cares for her and someone she can truly trust.

Justin Herbert and the Los Angeles Chargers
This past MNF on December 8, the Chargers secured an overtime victory against the Eagles. The game was marked by a series of mistakes on both sides, but Herbert’s team ultimately made fewer errors and walked away with the win.
With that triumph, the Chargers took control of second place in the AFC West, a position they must protect if they hope to reach the postseason. First place is now firmly in the hands of the Denver Broncos.
Justin played with his left hand protected by a special bandage following surgery, and it was evident he was not at 100%. Even so, he managed to lead his team effectively and guide them to an important victory.
