Luka Doncic‘s fiancée, Anamaria Goltes, shared a decade-long Instagram recap, yet the Los Angeles Lakers star was noticeably absent from her memories, sparking chatter across social media.
The model, engaged to the Slovenian star since 2023, posted two carousels as part of the viral #2016 trend, featuring 38 photos from the past ten years of her life.
Goltes‘ first post, labeled Part 1, highlighted professional photoshoots, while Part 2-with comments disabled-focused on relaxed selfies, vacation moments, and scenes with her daughters.
“2016-2026. A decade of good times, hard lessons, and everything in between. Plenty of ups and downs, but I wouldn’t change a single moment,” Goltes captioned her #part1 post.
In the second carousel’s first image, Goltes wore a pink floral sundress with her engagement ring visible, though Doncic did not appear in any of the pictures.
Fans quickly noticed the omission, sparking debate online. Some questioned why Doncic was absent, while others defended the post as a personal reflection rather than a commentary on the couple’s relationship.
One user wrote, “OMG all the talk about Luka is crazy. You are amazing and beautiful and we see you. I hope you and your family are doing amazing. Don’t mind these other people….”
Another added, “What is wrong with people?!? The 2016-2026 trend is just a personal life recap. It’s not a relationship post, and lots of people don’t include partners. Reading a breakup into a photo dump is a stretch!”
The couple’s history stretches back to Croatia, where they met at age 12 and began dating in 2016. Doncic proposed in Slovenia on July 7, 2023-a likely nod to his jersey number, 77.
Their first daughter, Gabriela, was born in December 2023, and last month, Doncic returned to Slovenia for the birth of Olivia, sharing an Instagram post featuring the newborn with a heart emoji over her face. Many NBA stars and Lakers teammates congratulated the family, with LeBron James commenting: “Congrats Brate!” and the official Lakers account adding a purple and yellow heart emoji.
Doncic edges closer to NBA suspension after technical foul
The Lakers defeated the Denver Nuggets 115-107 on Tuesday, with Doncic recording a triple-double of 38 points, 13 rebounds, and 10 assists, surpassing Nikola Jokic for the second-most 30-point triple-doubles in NBA history.
Tuesday marked his 52nd career 30-point triple-double, trailing only Oscar Robertson‘s 106, solidifying his elite standing, though the performance was marred by a technical foul.
After the second quarter, Doncic received his 13th technical foul of the season, placing him three away from an automatic suspension under NBA rules.
“I will try and get that one back because the only thing I said was, ‘I got hit in the arm twice,’ so yeah,” Doncic shared, according to Dave McMenamin of ESPN, signaling his intent to appeal.
He will pay a $4,000 fine, yet rescinding the call is crucial to avoid suspension as the Lakers push for playoff positioning and their first championship since 2020.
Doncic leads the league with 33.5 points per game while averaging 7.7 rebounds and 8.7 assists, highlighting his value to the Lakers‘ title pursuit despite potential disciplinary issues. Managing technical fouls will be key as the season progresses, ensuring the star guard remains available for every critical Western Conference matchup.
