As if he had used all the negative comments he was the target of as fuel, LA Lakers star Luka Doncic continued his impressive performance at EuroBasket.
After beating Israel 106-94 and leading Slovenia to another win, the team ends the group stage with a streak of three consecutive victories. And Luka shined.
Doncic gets the fans’ attention
During the game, the 26-year-old scored 37 points in 33:39 minutes of action and was the game’s top scorer. He also had 11 rebounds, three steals and nine assists.
Undoubtedly, the amount of points scored by Luka stole the attention of everyone, including the NBA, which celebrated the Slovenian’s feat on its official X account, formerly Twitter: “LUKA DONCIC, YOU ARE RIDICULOUS“, they wrote stunned, along with a video of Luka’s plays.
There, fans were quick to highlight the incredible present that the Lakers star is going through:
“The man, the myth, a living legend“, wrote one of them. “That’s totally ridiculous… this is high performance” commented a follower. “Luka is on another level. 37 points and still leaving defenders in the dust. Absolute madness!” posted another user. But they weren’t the only ones.
Also on X, Lakers Nation joined the wave and commented on Luka’s performance, writing, “Luka Doncic continued his dominant tournament,” next to his numbers.
LakeShow Highlights, on the other hand, wrote: “Luka Magic did as he pleased vs Israel in the last group phase of Euro Basket, it was way too easy for him. He picked up 4 fouls towards the middle of the 3rd quarter so had to sit out a lot of minutes or else he would have EASILY got his triple double. Luka continues to thrive and lead all players in the whole tournament in PTS, AST, STL, and player efficiency, haters can keep crying lol“.
Meanwhile, the Slovenian star is preparing to continue to thrive in Eurobaskt, not wanting to take a step back after such a brilliant performance. As a new season with the Lakers approaches, Luka continues to showcase his talent and will be looking to shake off the bitter taste left by their early playoff exit at the hands of the Minnesota Timberwolves (4-1).
