Los Angeles Dodgers plan to spend $15 million to bolster their hitting

Los Angeles Dodgers are going through a bad streak in the first month of MLB activities. While they had a spectacular start, the truth is that in recent games they have not been seen as the current champion. However, despite having the highest payroll, they could be looking for a big upgrade in center field.

The rumor of a trade with the Chicago White Sox is possible, although stalled at the moment. Dave Roberts’ team has postponed negotiations for a trade that would bring center fielder Luis Robert Jr. for James Outman, who is currently in Triple-A.

The cost for the Los Angeles Dodgers to sign Robert Jr

A potential deal for Luis Robert Jr. to come to California is currently on hold, but those talks could resume. In the latest version of the deal, James Outman and another top prospect would return to Chicago. According to Sportrac, Robert earns $15 million this season as a member of the White Sox.

However, Outman’s process is solid and effective. Last season he posted a .380 batting average and excelled in his defensive duties in center field. However, internal competition has relegated him to the minor leagues, but they know that his potential can be exploited for a trade that benefits both parties.

Los Angeles Dodgers do not yet contemplate Shohei Ohtani’s return to the mound

Shohei Ohtani, who came in with some of the best credentials as a starting pitcher, has not been able to pitch due to a right shoulder injury that has plagued him for more than a year. However, the Los Angeles Dodgers’ starting lineup is complete and without major problems, despite their scandalous defeats in recent games.

The West Division is very close, so his return to the mound would be a big boost, but the Dodgers also want to make sure he stays healthy when he returns. For Dave Roberts, he hasn’t had any major problems despite some injuries to his starting rotation, but they can’t afford to lose their two-way star after having him back on the mound.
