Logan Paul sets $1 million ask to race IShowSpeed

Logan Paul has thrown down an unexpected gauntlet: a sprint showdown against viral sensation IShowSpeed, but only if the stakes are high.

In the latest episode of the BS w/ Jake Paul podcast, the Maverick made headlines by not only admitting that he’d likely be beaten by the 20 year old streamer, but also laying out explicit terms for a possible race.

Paul kicked off the conversation by acknowledging IShowSpeed‘s lightning pace. “I’m not offended at all. [IShowSpeed] is fast as fuck,” he confessed, calling the challenge “absurd” but sincere.

Despite his bravado, the 30 year old admitted reality might differ, saying, “Me saying I am faster than Speed is absurd because I don’t know if I am ever going to be able to beat that up.” However, he didn’t completely rule it out.

The million dollar caveat

Paul then dropped the kicker-his participation was contingent on certain prerequisites. “I would do it,” he said, “if I could train, and if, for some reason, enough people get interested in the race, and we would like 1 million behind it, I am, I’m fucking in.”

That demand makes clear he isn’t looking for a casual run in the park, but a high-profile, well-compensated event with serious backing. When brother Jake poked fun by saying, “So you’d just train for two weeks to strengthen your head?” Logan replied with confidence: “Yeah, I would train for like a little bit.”

This mirrors the pay-to-play mentality seen across the influencer world, where viral fame often translates into big-ticket athletic or entertainment events.

While it may seem comedic to imagine two social media personalities racing, the behind-the-scenes logistics-sponsorships, media coverage, PPV rights-look very business-like.

Why now?

Interest in IShowSpeed‘s sprinting ability surged after his viral race victories over fitness influencer Ashton Hall. In a much-discussed four-race sequence, Speed, lighter and younger, bested Hall each time, prompting Hall to smash a TV in frustration during a replay.

From that emotional footage alone, the event blew up, racking over 108 million views. Hall‘s high-speed defeat wasn’t just embarrassing; it showcased Speed’s raw sprinting talent in front of a global audience.

Logan Paul, known for ego-driven spectacle and his past exhibition with Floyd Mayweather, might see a racing match as the latest route to entertainment-driven glory.

It’s reminiscent of other influencer confrontations: KSI vs Logan, Jake Paul vs Nate Diaz, activity framed as sport, but executed as showmanship. So a race could blend org-and give both participants clout.

In fact, this challenges the norm: not a physical fight, but a straight sprint. That puts athleticism front and center, likely engaging new demographics while capitalizing on the momentum from Hall/Speed races.

But can Logan actually win? He and Jake both acknowledged the likely outcome: Paul may prepare, but Speed‘s top-end speed may still dominate. As Logan said, “if you raced him four times, you’d lose four times.” Still, the offer remains: with enough hype and a $1 million guarantee, he’ll step foot on the track.
