Logan Paul challenges Tom Brady and criticizes Jalen Hurts after their flag football game

A lighthearted exhibition quickly turned into headline material thanks to one familiar voice. Logan Paul reignited his NFL trash talk by mocking both Jalen Hurts and Tom Brady following the Fanatics Flag Football Classic.

What was framed as an “apology” quickly turned into another round of jabs – continuing Paul‘s recent streak of targeting NFL players publicly.

Paul took to social media with a sarcastic apology directed at Hurts after claiming he recorded a sack and helped create a turnover during the exhibition.

“I’d like to apologize…” Paul began, before turning the message into a dig – suggesting Hurts‘ performance could have long-term consequences.

He didn’t stop there. Paul also mocked Brady, claiming he applied constant pressure that left the seven-time Super Bowl champion “fearing for your life,” in what was clearly another attempt to stir attention ahead of and after the event.

The tension continued away from social media too. During the Fanatics Flag Football Classic in Los Angeles, Paul and Brady had a brief on-field exchange that quickly went viral.

After Brady completed a short gain, Paul moved in to pull his flag.

In response, Brady casually tossed the football toward Paul‘s face while laughing, prompting an immediate reaction.

“He threw it at me,” Paul shouted, appealing to officials. Brady‘s response? A dismissive “That’s crazy, bro.”

The moment escalated slightly, with Paul stepping toward Brady as the two exchanged words before play resumed.

A pattern of calculated trash talk

This latest episode fits into a wider pattern.

Over the past two weeks, Paul has repeatedly inserted himself into NFL conversations, from offering million-dollar boxing challenges to players to questioning their athletic ability.

The strategy mirrors his WWE persona: provocative, exaggerated, and designed to generate attention.

Events like the Fanatics Flag Football Classic provide the perfect stage for that approach. While the event itself is informal, the visibility is real.

By targeting high-profile names like Hurts and Brady, Paul keeps himself at the center of the conversation – even among traditional sports audiences.

Is it all for show?

For the players involved, the exchanges appear largely playful, but they still generate viral moments that extend far beyond the game itself.

Still, the viral reach of these moments suggests the formula is working.

With the event concluded, the question is whether Paul continues his NFL-focused antics or shifts back to WWE and other ventures.

Given the attention generated, more crossover moments seem likely in the future, particularly if Brady persists with flag football to fulfil his appetite for football without returning to the NFL.

For Hurts and Brady, the focus will remain on football. But for Paul, the spotlight appears to be exactly where he wants it.
