The Philadelphia Eagles more than lived up to their status as reigning Super Bowl champions in Week 11, shutting down the visiting Detroit Lions in a defensive battle featuring two top NFC contenders.
The Eagles (8-2), despite a trying season for Jalen Hurts and the offense, strengthened their hold on the NFC East and look primed for another Super Bowl run. For Jared Goff and the banged-up Lions (6-4), however, the primetime battle left them searching for answers without a few key players, most notably tight end Sam LaPorta (back), who landed on injured reserve Friday.
