There’s still a ways to go, but with leagues around the soccer world in full swing, fans from many countries are counting the days until the 2026 FIFA World Cup. It feels like yesterday that Lionel Messi was lifting the World Cup trophy alongside his Argentina teammates. Messi put the final bow on a one-of-a-kind career, but he’s still playing at an extremely high level and could feature in 2026 once again.

The Inter Miami star hasn’t confirmed yet if he will participate in the upcoming international tournament. While that remains to be seen, Argentinians got a glimpse at what Messi and other La Albiceleste stars could look like during the summer tournament in the United States.

Argentina’s home kit for the 2026 FIFA World Cup leaks online

According to Footy Headlines, Argentina’s upcoming home kit for the World Cup has been leaked. The new design looks to incorporate gradients on the classic blue stripes of the jersey. Perhaps more interestingly, the shorts and socks appear to be navy blue. Argentina has alternated between blue, black and sometimes white shorts over the years.

Whatever the national team wears, they will come into the tournament as one of the favorites. Messi’s Argentina, led by manager Lionel Scaloni, have won the past three international tournaments they have participated in: 2021 Copa America, 2022 FIFA World Cup, 2024 Copa America.

That doesn’t mean everyone expects them to win the upcoming World Cup, though. Spain, France, England and Brazil all have better odds as of right now on DraftKings Sportsbook.
