Lionel Messi was impressed when he first saw Inter Miami CF’s new stadium. The Argentine soccer star described it as “impressive” and showed the excitement within the club to be able to officially debut in their new home.

The World Cup winner stressed that it is not just about new infrastructure, but a special moment for the whole institution. For Messi, this stadium represents an important step in the growth of the club and an experience that both players and fans have been waiting for.

A new stadium that marks a before and after for Inter Miami

Messi also highlighted how quickly the stadium has become a meaningful space for the team. Although they have not been there long, the feeling is that it is already part of the club’s identity, something that rarely happens so immediately.

The Argentine made it clear that the debut will be a special moment, not only for the players, but for all the fans who have followed the project since its inception. Expectations are high and the atmosphere is set to be unique. Messi insisted that it will be a day to enjoy, for the club, for the people and for those who will finally be able to see the team play in a stadium that reflects Inter Miami’s growth and ambition.

Inter Miami CF’s new stadium, called Nu Stadium, will be inaugurated on Saturday, April 4, 2026 with an official match against Austin FC. Located in the Miami Freedom Park complex, near Miami International Airport, the venue will have a capacity of 26,700 spectators, an increase of 5,000 seats over the previous Chase Stadium. With a modern European-style design, Bermuda grass with a “Lay and Play” system and a special section called “Leo Messi Stand”, the stadium is part of an ambitious project that will also include commercial areas, hotels and a 23-hectare park, marking a new chapter for the club led by Lionel Messi.
