Messi makes a security guard lose his mind
Inter Miami resumed 2025 MLS regular season action this weekend with a big 4-1 win on the road over CF Montreal. Captain and Royal Caribbean Icon of the Match Lionel Messi delivered a standout performance with two goals and an assist.
He also became the third player in MLS history to notch at least two goals and one assist in three consecutive league matches, and the first since French superstar Thierry Henry in 2012. One of his goals in particular was so good that even a security guard couldn’t believe what he witnessed.
Messi rounded out the win with an outstanding goal two minutes later in the 62nd minute, concluding a quick counter with an impressive solo effort that saw the Argentine maestro dance past four defenders before striking from inside the box.

Mas has publicly stated that negotiations for a contract extension are progressing in a positive way, reinforcing the club’s belief that Messi‘s legacy in Major League Soccer is far from over.
