Caitlin Clark‘s sneakers have become more than just footwear-they’ve been a symbol of hope for the Indiana Fever. Even while sidelined with an injury, her presence on the court inspired teammates.
During the first-round series against the Atlanta Dream, the Fever were down 1-0 before Clark stepped onto the sidelines in her Black Nike Air Force 1s. Following that moment, the team won three straight games, though they eventually fell in the semifinals.
“I mean, they’re working, so,” Lexie Hull said after Game 3 against Atlanta. “We told her she’s bringing them in her bag, wearing them every day.”
Clark’s sneaker collection earns top marks in the locker room
In a Sole Retriever YouTube feature, Hull named Clark as having the best sneaker collection on the team. “I would say I think Caitlin has the best sneaker game coz she I think gets the most amount of free shoes. Oh, also, Tash has a really good sneaker game. She has, like, back retro colorways, which I think is really cool,” she explained.
Clark, a Nike signature athlete, already has personal colorways, including the Kobe 5 Protro “Indiana Fever” edition, which sold out quickly. On her favorite pair, she said, “I’m a Kobe person, everybody knows that. It’s the best shoe, it’s not even close. I probably like the Kobe 6s the best, which are the ones I have on right now.”
Hull expressed excitement about Clark‘s upcoming signature shoe: “I will be wearing them for sure.”
As a restricted free agent, Hull acknowledged the uncertainty of her own future: “I’ve loved my years here in Indiana. Obviously, with a lot of uncertainty, you don’t know what’s to come, but I’ve built a life here. I love this franchise. I love the people, the fans, so we’ll see what comes.”
Beyond the court, Clark‘s style has drawn attention, from Miss Indiana honoring her at the Miss USA pageant to her carefully curated game-day outfits, blending comfort and fashion while continuing to inspire teammates like Hull.
