The glitz surrounding the Beckham family may still shine bright in the public eye, but cracks are clearly starting to show-particularly between Brooklyn Beckham and his famous parents, David and Victoria Beckham.
Amid ongoing rumors of a deepening rift, Brooklyn’s former girlfriend, Lexi Wood, has stepped forward with her own perspective on the family’s inner workings.
Appearing on The Viall Files podcast, Wood spoke candidly about her time dating both Brooklyn and later Presley Gerber, the son of Cindy Crawford and Rande Gerber.
Wood described both families as tight-knit units that value loyalty and closeness. “Like, families that are in the industry that give each other advice, work with each other where they can… they do so much together,” she told host Nick Viall.
Her comments come at a moment when tensions within the Beckham household are playing out more publicly than ever before.
Most recently, Brooklyn and his wife, Nicola Peltz, were conspicuously absent from David Beckham’s 50th birthday celebration-a high-profile event attended by the rest of the Beckham children.
Distance grows between Brooklyn and his parents
Despite painting the Beckhams as “a beautiful family,” Wood’s account has added another layer to a situation already clouded by speculation. “Victoria, she’s the style icon. They’re the coolest family,” she said, echoing the admiration many still have for the couple who rose from football and pop stardom to build a global brand.
But admiration hasn’t shielded them from internal strife. According to a source quoted by The Sun, Victoria is reportedly “losing sleep” over her strained relationship with her eldest son.
The same source claims the fallout from Brooklyn and Nicola’s 2022 wedding was never fully resolved, despite efforts to move past it. “It’s been difficult with Brooklyn since he met Nicola,” the insider said, adding, “this is a real blow” for both parents.
The situation has become so tense, another insider told Page Six that the family is reaching its breaking point: “They just can’t deal with this nonsense anymore.”
When asked on the podcast what it was like to date the son of a global icon, Wood brushed off the notion of David’s fame.
“He was just always Brooklyn’s dad,” she said, describing the soccer star in almost casual, familial terms.
Still, Wood voiced support for her ex, saying, “Brooklyn is in a great relationship, and I’m so happy for him.”
She added that she remains on good terms with most of her exes, and genuinely wishes them well.
While the Beckham PR machine keeps projecting unity, recent events suggest all is not well behind closed doors.
With Brooklyn seemingly distancing himself further from his family and those close to the situation acknowledging the growing emotional toll, it’s clear that no amount of designer labels or curated Instagram posts can keep this family conflict out of view.
