Lewandowski will be in Milan, but Balde won’t make it

Barcelona began their preparations for the important match in Milan, where they will play for a place in the Champions League final. Robert Lewandowski took part in Sunday’s session, but Alejandro Balde did not

The Polish internationalsuffered an injury to the semitendinosus muscle in his left leg on April 19 in the match against Celta, which forced him to miss the last few matches, including the Copa del Rey final and the first leg of the Champions League semi-final against Inter. But his recovery is going well and he has now joined group training.

Travel and bench

Lewandowski will therefore travel with the Blaugrana squad on Monday to Milan, although it seems that he will not start. The former Bayern Munich player will start on the bench because neither Flick nor he wants to take risks. The return to the squad is due to the fact that he has already recovered and is available for the German coach, but the presence of the veteran attacker on the pitch at the Giuseppe Meazza will only be confirmed if it is really necessary. The Blaugrana goal scorer is a key player for Barcelona and there are still important games to come, such as the Clasico on October 11 at Montjuic

Who, on the other hand, is not yet available for the German coach is Alejandro Balde. The Catalan full-back is still working on his own and recovering from a distal injury to the biceps femoris of his left leg, which he suffered on April 12. It is not clear when the Barcelona youth player will be able to join the group, as Robert Lewandowski did on Sunday.
Also still in the Barcelona infirmary are Marc Bernal, Marc Casado, Jules Kounde and Pablo Torre. The midfielder from Sant Pere de Vilamajor, however, is already working with the group and could be discharged in the coming days
