With the NFL Playoffs just around the corner, the starting signal was also given for all those predictions and bets that seek to define the team that will be champion of the Super Bowl that will be held at the Caesars Superdome in New Orleans next Sunday, February 9.
There are many voices that want to gain prominence by seeking to create controversy, but others have arguments to be able to profile the team that will take home the Vince Lombardi trophy in this edition of the ‘Super Sunday’. The legendary former wide receiver who made history in the NFL, Michael Irvin is a kind of mixture of both.

It is well known that the Kansas City Chiefs and the Detroit Lions are the teams that secured an extra week off and home field advantage in the Playoffs by being the number one seeds in their respective conferences, and in all honesty, for that simple reason they are favorites to reach the big event in New Orleans.
An important factor that gives the Lions an advantage
However, the fact that the Super Bowl is played in a closed stadium, on this occasion could take its toll on Patrick Mahomes, who is looking for his third championship with the Chiefs. At least, this is the opinion of Irvin, who made clear the reason for his prediction on FS1’s “Speak” show: “The best chance they [the Chiefs] had went out the window when this Super Bowl was played in New Orleans. They’re going to finish this in a dome stadium. The Detroit Lions will play to the end in a dome stadium. The best chance the Chiefs had was to play outside. You won’t see them outside”.
Lions QB Jared Goff has an important record playing in domes, as Goff boasted a 104.0 rating in closed stadiums and had completed 69% of his passes for 23 touchdowns, eight interceptions and 2,981 yards, giving him an ‘unusual’ advantage over Mahomes
The Playoffs start with the Wild Card round
The wild card round games begin on Saturday, starting with the Los Angeles Chargers taking on the Houston Texans and the game at M&T Bank Stadium between the Baltimore Ravens and Pittsburgh Steelers; they continue on Sunday with the Philadelphia Eagles vs. Green Bay Packers, the game between Buffalo Bills and Denver Broncos, and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers vs. Washington Commanders; to close with Monday’s matchup between the Minnesota Vikings and Los Angeles Rams at SoFi Stadium.
