Although the Los Angeles Lakers feared something worse, LeBron James could be out for ‘only’ one or two weeks. It is true that with the NBA schedule, one week out could be between three and four games, and two weeks would be seven or eight.
According to journalist Sams Charania, the absence could be one or two weeks, although the player will undergo more tests. The Lakers, currently in third place in the West, want to be cautious with their star’s physical problem, considering that he already suffered it, missing 17 games in the 2018-19 season, and that he is 40 years old.
James was injured during the game that the Lakers played, and lost in Boston. Before going to the locker room, with 6:44 left, James left an ‘almost’ triple-double with 22 points, 14 rebounds and 9 assists.
After the game, the player himself wanted to reassure the fans: “It’s not too serious, we’ll have to take it day by day. I’ve been there before and I know what kind of injury we’re talking about.”
The Lakers will have to play six games in the next eight days, all without LeBron, including games against teams such as the Nuggets or the Bucks. James was contributing 25 points, 8.5 rebounds and 8.1 assists per game.
