Fans are eager to catch the NBA’s most anticipated matchups, with the 2025-26 schedule featuring marquee games from Luka Doncic and LeBron James’ Los Angeles Lakers, Stephen Curry’s Golden State Warriors, Kevin Durant’s Houston Rockets, Shai Gilgeous-Alexander’s Oklahoma City Thunder, and rookie sensation Cooper Flagg from Dallas Mavericks.

With the 2025-26 NBA season revving up, the national TV schedule is set, promising fans the best highlights, jaw-dropping plays, and must-watch matchups. Some franchises dominate the spotlight, with a four-way tie for the most televised games in the upcoming season. The stage is set for a thrilling battle under the bright lights.

Which Teams Lead the NBA in Nationally Televised Games?

This season promises an intense battle for the NBA title, with top teams determined to make their mark and deliver standout performances from start to finish. While every franchise enters with hopes of glory, a select few carry higher expectations, and the pressure to prove their worth on the league’s biggest stage.

As expected, the Los Angeles Lakers, led by Luka Doncic and LeBron James, top the list with 34 nationally televised games, matching the Golden State Warriors of Stephen Curry. The New York Knicks, one of the NBA’s most storied franchises with a massive fan base, will also feature in 34 nationally broadcast matchups.

However, rounding out the four-way tie are the Oklahoma City Thunder, the reigning NBA champions, sparking excitement and debate among fans. The spotlight is firmly on Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, whose stellar play continues to draw attention. Fresh off their first-ever championship, the Thunder are set to appear in 34 nationally televised games, fueling anticipation for another memorable season.

All nationally televised games under the league’s new media rights deal will be broadcast across ESPN, ABC, NBC, Peacock, and Amazon Prime. This expanded coverage aims to bring fans closer to the action, ensuring they don’t miss any of the season’s most anticipated matchups.

Rounding Out the Top 10 Teams

In fifth place, there’s a tie between the Minnesota Timberwolves and the Houston Rockets with 28 games each. Minnesota is determined to make another deep playoff run after falling short against the Thunder in last season’s conference finals, while Houston enters the year with high anticipation surrounding Kevin Durant’s debut.

In seventh place are the Denver Nuggets, coming off a strong season that ended with elimination at the hands of the Thunder. The Boston Celtics, one of the league’s most storied franchises, sit in eighth with 25 nationally televised games, followed by the Cleveland Cavaliers in ninth. Rounding out the Top 10 are the Dallas Mavericks, highlighted by the arrival of sensational rookie Cooper Flagg.
