LeBron James rallies an army at 4 a.m. to get him to a grueling workout session ahead of season 23

LeBron James seems to have it all under control. Heading into what would be his 23rd NBA season, there’s still a looming question: will he suit up again for the Lakers, or is a new chapter waiting? While the rumor mill spins wildly – even tossing out the New York Knicks as a potential suitor – LeBron’s not spending the offseason lounging on yachts or sipping cocktails. For him, this time of year is about discipline, preparation, and keeping the edge sharp.

The grind doesn’t stop – even when the league does

And when we say preparation, we mean waking up at 4 a.m. to kick off workouts that would leave most pros gasping for air. But it’s not just LeBron getting after it – a recent video shows he’s bringing a whole army with him. Trainers, onlookers – the gym looks more like a command center, with James at the helm calling the shots and leading every drill like a general at war.

LeBron’s workout sessions stretch well past three hours. They include heavy lifting, grueling cardio, Pilates for flexibility, and intense on-court drills. And while most of the world is still hitting snooze, James is drenched in sweat, laser-focused, and already pushing the limits of what’s physically possible. It’s no mystery why, even after two decades, he’s still one of the league’s top performers.

Last season, he averaged 24.4 points, 7.8 rebounds, and 8.2 assists across 70 games. Not bad for someone who’s 40 – and a clear sign that “aging” doesn’t apply when you train like this.

An early start to stay ahead of the game

For LeBron, the key to longevity is staying ahead – and that means outworking everyone. While others recover from the season, James is preparing to dominate another. As for the Knicks rumors, they may come and go, but his commitment to being ready never wavers. Whether it’s in L.A. or somewhere new, James is making one thing loud and clear: he’s not coasting into season 23 – he’s charging in like a man on a mission.

In a league where the next generation is always knocking, LeBron James is still holding the door – and making everyone earn their spot behind it. Season 23 might be filled with questions, but one answer remains rock solid: LeBron’s work ethic is untouched, and his pursuit of greatness is far from finished.
