LeBron James, Luka Doncic, and the rest of the Los Angeles Lakers are ready to being their playoff journey after securing the No. 3 seed in the Western Conference.
They will face Anthony Edwards, Rudy Gobert,Julius Randle, and the rest of the feisty Minnesota Timberwolves, starting Saturday at Crypto Arena.
It’s an excellent opportunity for the Lakers to send a message to the rest of the NBA that they are serious contenders for the Larry O’Brien Trophy, as Luka tries to prove his former team – the Dallas Mavericks – that he has what it takes to be a champion.
LeBron James makes a sore loser move
LeBron James – considered by many one of the greatest, if not the greatest, basketball player ever – has a competitive side to him that has made him one of the most accomplished athletes of all time. And that competitiveness does not stop after he steps off the court.
On a recent episode of Uninterrupted – the athlete empowerment brand founded by LeBron and Maverick Carter featuring videos from the athlete’s perspective, original series, podcasts, and documentaries – we can see James interacting with Savannah James – the basketball player’s wife and mother of his three kids: Bronny, Bryce and Zhuri.
The Los Angeles Lakers superstar talks about the fact that when he walks through the doors of his house, he knows he’s home base and a time to recharge and that’s due to the fact that Savannah keeps everything flowing. “Why you rushing me out of nowhere?”, the philantrophist asks LeBron in the video.
A Rock Paper Scissors to solve a disagreement
The married couple have a verbal disagreement about who said what, and James challenges his wife to resolve the matter in a best out of three game of Rock Paper Scissors game. After winning the first two sets, the All-Star forward has to accept his defeat as he gets beaten by scissors – he showed paper – and he can’t helped himself as he grabbed Savannah’s fingers and twist them, making his wife laugh but not without showing a small sign of pain.
“Playoff LeBron is not very different from regular season LeBron, if we will. I don’t think personality wise he changes much. I think the focus and the determination to what we’re trying to get to at this point just shifts.” added Savannah. Fans know that when playoffs time comes, LeBron is all about business.
Together, LeBron and his wife are one of the most solid couples in professional sports. James has mentioned the fact that he can totally focus on basketball thanks to his wife’s determination to keep his life as easy as it can get off the court, which is one of the reasons why the James family can have their oldest son in the NBA – Bronny James, with the Lakers – and Bryce soon playing college basketball with the University of Arizona.
