LeBron James keeps Steph Curry waiting on the golf course as the King practices his way to perfection

At this point, it’s getting hard to find something LeBron James can’t do. From the hardwood to the big screen and now to the golf green, the King is once again showing that when he sets his sights on something, he’s all in. His latest passion? Golf. And not just as a casual hobby – LeBron’s approach has been methodical, focused, and, unsurprisingly, showing results. His stance is steadier, his swing smoother, and his commitment unmistakable.

But while LeBron’s game is steadily leveling up, Steph Curry – known for his golf finesse nearly as much as his deep threes – couldn’t help but chime in. After all, Steph has been carrying the NBA’s golfing torch for a while now, and he joked that LeBron had kept them waiting long enough. Still, Curry was quick to welcome him to the green club.

The hardwood kings go head-to-head in a new arena

Golf has quietly become the unofficial side sport for America’s elite athletes – much like padel among soccer stars. It’s less about leaving competition behind and more about channeling that same drive into a different kind of challenge. And for someone like LeBron, whose entire legacy is built on discipline, improvement, and relentless work ethic, it’s no surprise he’s taking the golf course by storm.

Despite his clear progress over the past two years, not everyone’s sold just yet. Some fans have pointed out that while LeBron’s strength is unquestionable, his swing still lacks a bit of finesse. The raw power is there – that’s never been in doubt – but golf demands precision, balance, and a bit of patience, something even the most explosive athletes can struggle with when swapping sneakers for spikes.

Critics doubt the finesse – fans back the grind

And, of course, the critics didn’t miss their shot. Some have argued that even in basketball, LeBron’s game has always leaned more on dominance than grace – so why expect anything different in golf? But true fans see it differently. They’re watching a man, two decades into a legendary career, still willing to learn, adapt, and take on something completely new. Whether or not he swings “like a pro” doesn’t matter when the work speaks for itself.

LeBron may not be ready to win the Masters just yet, but if there’s one thing history’s taught us – never bet against him. From courts to courses, the King keeps proving that greatness isn’t a gift, it’s a grind. And as Steph waits on the tee box, he knows: LeBron’s not far behind.
