There is no question that he was devastated after not playing in the NBA All-Star Game over this past weekend, but there was a good reason to sit out as LeBron James is looking to avoid any setback that could affect his health towards the second half of the season.

With that said, there is a very interesting report that indicates con news. Los Angeles Lakers star may soon be back on the court, as he continues to recover from ongoing discomfort in his foot and ankle.

According to ESPN’s Shams Charania, there is “optimism” that James will play in either the Lakers’ game against the Charlotte Hornets on Wednesday or the Portland Trail Blazers on Thursday. Everyone is expecting his return to the court.

The Lakers need him

Charania reported on Tuesday’s NBA Today that there is a protocol to follow in order for LeBron James to return and to get medically cleared to play. “I’m told James will be reevaluated later today and there is optimism he could be able to play in at least one of the next two games,” the ESPN reported said.

James, who missed the All-Star Game due to the injury, is eager to return to action. The Lakers are currently weighing the benefits of building chemistry between James and Luka Doncic against the need for additional rest for the veteran player.

As the Lakers look to solidify their standing in the Western Conference, James’ return could provide a significant boost. Fans and analysts alike are eagerly awaiting the results of his reevaluation and hoping to see the star forward back on the court soon.
