LeBron James held back in the face of Isiah Thomas’ harsh criticism: “It’s useless”

We know that LeBron James, both in the game and in his daily life, is subtle but fierce. And that’s how he responded to criticism from Detroit Pistons NBA legend Isiah Thomas.

The Los Angeles Lakers star was criticized for the way he approached his warm-up routine after the 140-109 victory over the Houston Rockets: shirtless. “I’m totally opposed to this” Thomas said. “If I was the general manager or the coach, I would never let any of my players go out on the court looking like this. I mean, we’re a professional NBA league. We’re not a summer league. We’re not the YMCA.” concluded.

This message -and especially the beginning- was taken as a possible answer from King to Isiah Thomas. However, what he made more than clear is that his focus is on his commitments to the NBA and his team. With his 14 points against the Rockets, LeBron averaged 24.4 points per game. And although these numbers are unexpected for a 40-year-old player, he put an end to his streak of 20 consecutive seasons in which he had averaged at least 25 points per game. Will he return to his numbers in the next game?
