Kylie Kelce is widely known as the wife of former NFL center Jason Kelce, but over time, she’s built a reputation in her own right.
Between raising three daughters, supporting the Eagles Autism Foundation, and hosting her own podcast, Not Gonna Lie, Kylie is constantly on the move. Yet amid all her roles, there’s one dream she never had the chance to pursue – a career as a veterinarian.
During a recent episode of her podcast, Kylie opened up about her lifelong love for animals. When asked by a listener what job she would do if she could choose anything, her answer was immediate: veterinarian.
“I definitely wanted to be a veterinarian,” she shared. “There are a number of animals that if I got to see them close up or even interact with, I fully believe I would cry tears of joy.”
Kylie explained that her fascination with animals started young and has never really gone away. Even now, she admits that if given the opportunity, she’d still choose to become a vet. “If you asked me what I wanted to be at 33 when I grow up, I’d still say a veterinarian. I just love animals so much.”
From field hockey to foundation work
Though her career didn’t follow the veterinary path, Kylie carved out a different but equally impactful journey. She was a standout field hockey player at Cabrini University, where she was a four-year starter and majored in communications. Her background in athletics eventually led her to coach young girls in the sport, a role she still finds fulfilling.
More recently, Kylie has become a vocal advocate for autism awareness through her work with the Eagles Autism Foundation. Whether she’s helping coordinate major fundraising events or promoting inclusive educational tools for neurodivergent kids, Kylie has become a key part of the organization’s success.
Her passion for service clearly echoes the same compassion she once hoped to direct toward animals.
At home, Kylie’s love for pets is well known. She and Jason previously owned two dogs, both of whom passed away in the past year. They recently welcomed a new Irish Wolfhound puppy named Nessy into the family.
She’s even tried to convince Jason to adopt a cat, though he humorously insists cats are “poisonous” in an effort to keep them out of the house.
Though life took her in a different direction, Kylie’s deep-rooted compassion remains obvious – whether through her advocacy, coaching, or family life. Maybe one day she’ll get to fulfill her dream of working with animals more directly. Until then, Kylie Kelce continues to make a meaningful difference, just in a different way than she first imagined.
