There is no denying the Dallas Cowboys are one of the most popular franchises in North American sports, with their moniker of being America’s Team adding to that.
However, with that kind of popularity comes plenty of people who don’t like the team and Kylie Kelce is one of them.
That likely doesn’t come as a surprise to anyone given Kylie is from Philadelphia and her husband Jason played for the Eagles for 13 seasons before retiring.
During a recent episode of her Not Gonna Lie podcast with guest Kelly Clarkson, Kylie didn’t hold back when telling the world why she hates the Cowboys. She even explained why Eagles and New York Giants fans share a special bond when it comes to hating the Cowboys.
“I will tell you that I bond with Giants fans. For some reason, Giants fans meet my husband, they have like a truth serum and they immediately say,” I have to be honest I’m a Giants fan”. And I’m like everyone has their flaws but we can agree- ” F*** the Cowboys,” said Kylie.
Cowboys fan Clarkson responds
Clarkson is a Texas native and is a known Cowboys fan, but she didn’t argue with what Kylie had to say. In fact, she leaned into the fact that the Cowboys are the most hated team in sports.
However, she stated that the mere fact so many people hate the Cowboys only adds to their relevance as they just can’t stop talking about America’s Team.
The two also noted the Cowboys do a great job of marketing themselves, as their cheerleaders have become a cultural phenomenon of their own.
“It is like funny our team is probably one of the most hated but also because I think too we’re always so hopeful. I don’t think there has been more dreamers. Every year is our year,” said Clarkson, with Kylie calling that mentality a sign of delusion.
Why the Cowboys are never far from the limelight, winning hasn’t come easy to them. Every team in the NFC has been to the conference title game since the last time the Cowboys appeared – a 38-27 win over the Green Bay Packers in 1996.
