Kevin Stefanski and GM Andrew Berry are worried about a prediction regarding the Cleveland Browns that could mean the end for Shedeur Sanders

While the Cleveland Browns continue to grapple with the drama of choosing their starting quarterback, figures like Head Coach Kevin Stefanski and General Manager Andrew Berry are under scrutiny, as this season could be pivotal in determining whether they can remain in their roles within the organization, which posted a disappointing 3-14 record last year.

The big question for many experts and analysts is how long the team should remain patient with a franchise that continues to search for answers year after year.

Pressure on the Cleveland Browns’ leadership

There will be immense pressure on the team’s leadership, as expressed by former NFL quarterback and Bleacher Report podcaster Kurt Benkert, who stated that both Stefanski and Berry will face high expectations this season, with every move the team makes under close watch.

“I’m not going to lie guys: if Joe Flacco cannot right the ship for them over the first six weeks, I imagine that entire staff is gone, the GM is gone. I imagine all of it, all gone,” Benkert said.

Kevin Stefanski and Andrew Berry began working for the Browns in 2020, with polarizing results. They led the team to the playoffs twice, but they’ve also had highly disappointing seasons.

Cleveland made the playoffs in 2020-2021 for the first time since 2002-2003 during the duo’s second season, also securing the team’s first postseason victory since January 1995.

Then, the Browns had a stellar 11-win campaign in 2023, which led some to believe the team could be a contender, but that didn’t materialize.

In reality, no one expects Cleveland to be a fully competitive team in 2025, but the truth is that if they don’t show improvement, Berry and Stefanski‘s jobs will be at risk.

The future of several players within the team, such as Shedeur Sanders or Dillon Gabriel, among others, is also uncertain.
