Kevin Garnett ignores LeBron James: “We are in the Stephen Curry era”

One of the biggest debates among NBA fans is defining the greatest player of all time.

Some lean toward Michael Jordan, others toward LeBron James. However, names such as Kevin Durant and Stephen Curry also come up, and one former player believes that the Golden State Warriors star shines the brightest.

“We are in the Curry era”

The fight to define the NBA’s GOAT has not been an easy task and is something that still lacks a general consensus. However, as if it weren’t difficult enough to choose one of them, a former NBA champion with the Boston Celtics added another name to the list.

In his recent appearance on Ticket & The Truth, Kevin Garnett stated without hesitation that Stephen Curry stands out from the rest and chose him as his GOAT:

I’ve said this countless times, I think we are in the Curry era. He is the GOAT of this era.

Curry has won four NBA championships, holds the record for most three-pointers scored, and has two regular season MVP awards, including the only unanimous MVP in history in 2016.

However, beyond the personal achievements and individual talent of “The Chef,” the truth is that Steph has revolutionized the way teams play basketball with his mastery of the three-point shot, causing many teams in the league to adopt this style.

Unlike in the era of Michael Jordan and Magic Johnson, the three-point shot was not an important factor. Today, it is decisive.

“When we talk about the long ball and the three ball, you’ve got to talk about the messiah of that long ball,” Garnett proclaimed in reference to Steph.

Meanwhile, at 37, rumors and debates about his retirement are increasing, and his “era” could be coming to an end. Despite this, the Golden State star continues to play and is more relevant than ever.

Now, Steph and the Warriors will host Cooper Flagg’s Dallas Mavericks on Thursday, December 25, at the Chase Center in San Francisco as part of the 78th edition of the NBA Christmas games.
