Kevin Durant goes on a major rant about the NBA and the media as he complains that things are not fair

Phoenix Suns superstar Kevin Durant is one of the most outspoken players in the NBA as he’s not afraid to speak his mind when it comes to issues related to basketball.

Durant‘s – a defender’s worst nightmare – gets buckets in nearly every way imaginable in part to his massive 7-foot-5 winspan and his ability to shake defenders at will.

The former Texas Longhorns has the ball-handling, passing, 3-point shooting makes him one of the most dangerous players in history and has helped him win 2 NBA championships including 2 Finals MVP as well as being a 12-time All-Star and a regular season MVP.

Durant goes off on a reporter and the NBA

Kevin Durant recently spoke about an ESPN report that the Phoenix Suns locker room has been “toxic” as of lately and that there’s a possibility that he could be part of a trade to shake up the Western Conference team that’s currently at 11th place with a .500 record (26-26).

“Yeah, I heard Ramona Shelburne come out and say our locker room is toxic. I try to tell people who aren’t around this game much is that it’s easy to say our locker room is not connected when you come in there 45 minutes before and guys are in their game mode and not talking to each other.” Durant said.

He added that four or five guys might be in the training room, a few guys might be in the weight room, and it’s not a welcoming environment right before the game, which is part of getting ready to play in front of thousands of people. To Durant, it’s unfair and lazy to categorize a team as toxic when somebody walks in for five minutes throughout four months.

“That’s the only time you’ve been in our locker room and then you can make a narrative? I don’t think that’s fair to us, but like I said, that’s a part of the game. Part of the business we signed up for. S**t is not fair in this game, but we got to deal with it and accept it.”

Durant’s selected to the All-Star game

The NBA announced recently that Phoenix Suns forward Kevin Durant has been selected by fans, current NBA players and a media panel as a starter in the 2025 NBA All-Star Game, which will be played on Sunday, Feb. 16 in San Francisco.

This marks Durant‘s 15th career NBA All-Star selection, which ties for the fourth-most in the league’s history alongside Tim Duncan, Kevin Garnett and Shaquille O’Neal, and behind only LeBron James, Kareem Abdul-Jabbar and Kobe Bryant.

Durant will enter this year’s contest ranked third all-time in NBA All-Star Game scoring with 268 career points, trailing only James (434) and Bryant (290). A two-time NBA All-Star Game MVP (2012 and 2019), this is Durant‘s 13th career time being named an All-Star starter and second time with the Suns.

Kevin is the seventh player to be named an All-Star starter multiple times as a member of the Suns, joining Amar’e Stoudemire, Steve Nash, Jason Kidd, Charles Barkley, Paul Westphal and Connie Hawkins.
