After months away from social media, Kate Upton reappeared in public, showing off the spectacular penthouse she shares with Justin Verlander in front of Central Park. Supermodel Kate Upton reappeared on social media this week with a video that quickly caught the attention of her followers. The model shared a tour of the penthouse she shares with her husband, Detroit Tigers pitcher Justin Verlander, in New York.
How much is Kate Upton’s penthouse in New York worth?
The video, recorded for Architectural Digest, shows the interior of the residence that the couple acquired in 2023 and which is estimated to be worth $16.75 million.
The property stands out for its large windows with direct views of Central Park, one of Manhattan’s most iconic spaces.
The apartment was recently renovated with the help of interior designer John Ruggiero, who worked alongside Upton to transform the spaces.
According to the model, the goal was for the home to have personality and not feel like a hotel, something common in the life of a couple who travel constantly.
We travel a lot. I didn’t want our home to feel like a hotel room. We are a young family, we have children and a dog. We wanted it to feel like us
The result is a home full of colors, textures and spaces designed to be enjoyed as a family.
A penthouse inspired by the golden hour
The apartment’s aesthetics are also inspired by the natural light that enters through the windows overlooking the park.
Upton explained that he wanted to capture the colors of the sunset within the home’s design: “You have these beautiful views of Central Park and we really wanted to bring that nature and the colors of the sunset into the apartment.”
The model added that the concept has special meaning for her career: “As a fashion model, the ‘golden hour’ is very important. So I hope you can feel that golden light in this room“.
The main living room even uses a special pink tone that recreates the sunset lighting.
Kate Upton and Justin Verlander’s life between family and baseball
While the model enjoys her family life and personal projects, Verlander remains active in MLB.
The veteran pitcher returned this season with the Detroit Tigers, where he began his professional career, signing a one-year contract.
Between baseball, travel and family life, the couple seems to have found in their New York penthouse an ideal space to disconnect from the fast pace of sports and fame.
