Karim Benzema remains one of the last true idols at Real Madrid, and right now the Frenchman is entering the final stretch of his contract with Al-Ittihad. Against this backdrop, his future plans have become a topic of uncertainty, leaving the veteran striker weighing what his next career move will be.

There are many rumors surrounding one of the most recent Ballon d’Or winners, ranging from a contract renewal to a departure or even retirement-though none of these options have been officially ruled out.

Can Karim Benzema return to Real Madrid?

The situation of a player who still possesses tremendous talent has sparked interest from several European clubs, yet Benzema continues to be highly valued by Al-Ittihad, where he is regarded as both a leader and a marketing icon that brings significant revenue to the club.

Recently, when asked in an interview with Diario AS whether he would like to return to Real Madrid, he gave an answer that will undoubtedly excite Madrid fans tremendously.

“He’s a person I can never say no to. Florentino is special,” Benzema said when asked if he would sign to come back, a statement that clearly leaves the door open to that possibility.

“It’s true that my contract here is coming to an end. I still can’t say what I’m going to do-whether I’ll stay or leave; it depends on many things. I’ll turn 38 in December. I see myself playing football for two more years,” he added.

Benzema also confirmed that he has active offers from Europe, though comfort and respect are just as important to him as the competitive level.

“It’s true that I have offers from Europe. I need to consider everything, choose wisely, and see where I feel good-without forgetting that I’m comfortable here and receive everyone’s affection. In any case, I’m not going to stop playing football or competing in six months.”
