Kanye West bought seats in front of Taylor Swift’s suite at the Super Bowl… but she took it upon herself to ‘eliminate’ him

The ongoing tension between Kanye West and Taylor Swift took another dramatic turn at Super Bowl LIX when the 47-year-old rapper apparently tried to make a statement by purchasing seats directly in front of Swift‘s suite at the Caesars Superdome, something she firmly shut down.

This stunt, according to former NFL receiver Brandon Marshall, was a deliberate move by the 47-year-old to photobomb Swift‘s potential TV appearances while she watched her boyfriend, Travis Kelce, play for the Kansas City Chiefs.

“Taylor made a call or two” to have West removed from his seats, effectively neutralizing his attempt to disrupt her experience, Marshall said via the Paper Route podcast, in the latest edition of the feud between the musical pair.

Although Kanye didn’t get the attention he likely sought from Swift‘s suite, his presence was still felt in a different way through TV screens across the nation as he purchased a 30-second commercial spot during the Super Bowl to promote his Yeezy brand.

“Hey y’all, this is Ye, and this is my commercial,” West said in the brief slot. “And since we spent all the money on the commercial spot, we actually – we didn’t spend any money on the actual commercial.

“But the idea is I want you to go to Yeezy.com… I’m gonna write it at the bottom of the screen and I got some shoes and mmmm that’s it.”

Swift continues snubbing Kanye

The rivalry between the pair has been brewing for over a decade, beginning with the infamous 2009 MTV Video Music Awards incident when Kanye interrupted Swift‘s acceptance speech to defend Beyonce, who later sided with the then-teenage Taylor.

Though there appeared to be reconciliation between the two over the years, the feud reignited in 2016 when Kanye released his song Famous, which included the controversial line about Swift of, “I made that b**ch famous.”

Swift, who had given him permission to reference her, was unaware that the lyric would be derogatory. Since then, she has given him the cold shoulder despite his attempts to win her attention.

Most recently that included making her the only account he followed on Instagram, but the Eras Tour star didn’t bite. West is now reportedly dealing with his second divorce since 2021 as Bianca Censori leaves him.
