Harry Kane’s two goals for Bayern Munich last weekend (0-3 against Bremen) and Kylian Mbappe’s enforced substitution against Real Sociedad (he was rested with a knock in the 4-1 win over Real Sociedad) mean that the Englishman has moved clear in the updated Golden Boot standings, a trophy organized by European Sports Media (ESM), and which has MARCA as the representative media outlet in Spain.

Kane currently has 26 goals in the Bundesliga compared to Kylian’s 23 in LaLiga, a distance that is still surmountable considering how much is left

Current Golden Boot standings

1. Harry Kane (FC Bayern) 26 goals x 2 points = 52 points

2. Kylian Mbappe (Real Madrid) 23 x 2 = 46

3. Erling Haaland (Manchester City) 22 x 2 = 44

4. ‘Igor Thiago’ (Brentford FC) 17 x 2 = 34

5. Vedat Muriqi (RCD Mallorca) 16 x 2 = 32

6. Vangelis Pavlidis (Benfica) 20 x 1.5 = 30

7. Darko Lemajic (FK RFS) 29 x 1 = 29

8. Luis Suarez (Sporting Portugal) 19 x 1.5 = 28.5

9. Mason Greenwood (Marseille) 14 x 2 = 28

Lautaro Martinez (Inter) 14 x 2 = 28

The Englishman won the trophy in 2023-24 with Bayern Munich with 36 goals scored in the German tournament, while the Frenchman was the last winner of this Golden Boot with 31 goals with Real Madrid last season
