Justin Tucker releases powerful denying statement but may have given himself up in process

Baltimore Ravens kicker Justin Tucker has once again denied allegations of sexual misconduct, responding to new claims while also issuing an apology. In a statement to Outkick on Wednesday, Tucker expressed his devastation over the situation but maintained his innocence.

“It devastates me to know that anyone I have worked with would not have felt respected and valued as a professional, but more importantly as a person, and to anyone who has felt otherwise, I am sorry,” Tucker said. “I want you to know I am committed to ensuring that everyone I interact with continues to feel that I respect them and care about them as a human being.”

Multiple allegations emerge

Tucker has now been accused by 16 massage therapists from eight different spas and wellness centers in Baltimore. According to The Baltimore Banner, the alleged incidents took place between 2012 and 2016, his first five seasons in the NFL.

Initially, The Banner published an investigative report on January 30, in which six therapists accused Tucker of inappropriate behavior. At that time, Tucker swiftly denied the claims, calling them “unequivocally false” in a social media statement.

A month later, after 10 more women came forward, Tucker doubled down on his denial, calling the allegations “shocking and heart-breaking.”

“I maintain I did not act inappropriately at any point before, during, or after a professional bodywork treatment session, nor have I ever been told I am unwelcome at any massage therapy provider,” Tucker said. “These claims are simply not true.”

The accusations include claims that Tucker exposed himself, brushed therapists with his genitals, and left what they believed to be ejaculate on massage tables.

Legal response and team reaction

Tucker’s lawyers have presented a sworn declaration from the owner of Baltimore Spa & Salon, stating that she never received complaints about him. However, some therapists told The Banner they did not report his alleged behavior out of fear of losing their jobs.

In support of Tucker, his wife Amanda also released a statement: “The false allegations against Justin have caused so much hurt to our family. I believe my husband, and I love and support him fully.”

Meanwhile, Ravens general manager Eric DeCosta acknowledged the seriousness of the allegations, saying the team will wait for the NFL’s investigation before making any decisions about Tucker’s future. The league has reportedly sent investigators to Baltimore to speak with some of the accusers.

“We’ve all got questions, but nobody knows exactly what happened,” Ravens head coach John Harbaugh said. “So, let’s see where the review takes us.”

Tucker, 35, is a seven-time Pro Bowler and the most accurate kicker in NFL history. He remains the longest-tenured player on the Ravens and the last remaining member of their 2012 Super Bowl-winning team.
