Julio Cesar Chavez shows off his VIP permit to swear on TV: “The rest of you, go to hell”

Julio Cesar Chavez is not only considered the best Mexican boxer of all time, but he is still a celebrity in pugilism and as such, he receives privileged treatment even in his way of narrating fights for the TV Azteca network, where he continually gets excessively excited and goes off the rails, launching ‘toads and snakes’ from his mouth

However, the ‘Cesar of boxing‘ revealed that he has express permission to speak as he pleases during the broadcasts and this permission was granted by none other than the owner of the television station, the magnate Ricardo Salinas Pliego, who expressly gave him permission to “say whatever he wants”.

One of the most attractive elements of TV Azteca’s boxing broadcasts is precisely the relaxed and passionate style that the ‘Great Mexican Champion’ gives to his comments, regardless of whether they are expletives or not, especially when he has carte blanche to express himself. In an interview with the Marter Vic podcast, Chavez explained how he got such permission:

I have the fortune and the blessing that I can say what I want on television until I announce my clinics, no one can advertise or swear on TV Azteca more than me because that’s what the boss Salinas said

According to Chavez Sr., during a dinner in which several important commentators from the television station were convened, Chavez only received permission from its owner to speak in his unique style:

“Luis Garcia, Zague, the soap opera artists and everyone else were there, and at the end of the dinner he said: ‘To finish, the only bastard who can say whatever the hell he wants is the great Julio Cesar Chavez because he earned it, the rest of you can go to hell,'” Chavez recalled of Salinas Pliego’s authorization
