A month ago, the boos were getting louder in Queens, but Juan Soto changed the script at Citi Field. His two-run home run between left and center field helped the New York Mets win the Subway Series over their main neighborhood rival: the New York Yankees. That swing not only changed the scoreboard, it also dispelled concerns and restored hope with the Mets.

In the first game of the “Subway Series”, Soto came close to completing the cycle of hits. He went 3-for-4, missing only the triple. That included two RBIs and two runs scored. Since June, he has been on another level, hitting .337/.481/.721 with 12 home runs. Mets fans are finally seeing that the $765 million bat is showing its magic.

Juan Soto’s good form is evident in the New York Mets’ victories

In the analysis of the critical experts of the MLB, they agreed that the return of Juan Soto is evident and has paid dividends in recent games for the Mets. “It’s very important that Juan Soto maintains his level of play during June and keeps it in July, as he has practically been the offense throughout June. When this team has not played well, he has been consistent, and I feel that the team is recovering because of that.”

The confidence is evident and now at home they are the bosses in their own backyard at Citi Field in Queens. But it’s not just a nice comment. It was true. Soto’s return to Yankee Stadium in May was anything but sweet. He was loudly booed and went 1-10 with no extra bases. At the time, he looked lost. But in Queens, he has found his groove, and the boos have turned to cheers.

Juan Soto makes history with New York Mets

After hitting the crucial home run in the first game of the Subway Series, Juan Soto said: “I feel good right now… I see the ball very well. I feel like I try to take my chances when I hit. I try to do damage every time and help the team win games.” Mets manager Carlos Mendoza backed Soto’s opinion as a member of the team. “Every time he’s at the plate, you feel confident about your chances. When we have players on base and he’s like that, it’s a very special feeling.”

Soto’s overflowing confidence and Mendoza’s admiration say it all. This is not a one-off. It is the best moment of Juan Soto. He is focused on getting the job done for the Mets, and the manager knows how dangerous that makes the lineup.
