Juan Soto silences rival fans with stupendous numbers against the New York Mets

The Mets are having a good season in the Major Leagues and much of the good results obtained is by Juan Soto, the Dominican outfielder who ignores the insults and boos he receives from rival fans. On the contrary, it seems that the slugger swallows the aggression like an energy drink that makes him play better and better.

On the National League East side, Carlos Mendoza’s team is in second place below the Phillies, who are at the top with 85 wins, nine more than the Mets. The story in the overall standings is different, as they are 12th, while the Brewers are the overall leaders (89).

Juan Soto consolidates himself at the top of Latin batting

Soto is finishing off the first season of his rich contract with New York at full steam and for the second week in a row he appears as the number one in the ranking of Latin hitters. He retains the top spot he assumed last week, after hitting .385 with three home runs, three stolen bases, nine RBIs and seven runs scored in his last seven games.

He is hitting .358 in 15 games. On the season, Soto leads the National League in walks (118) and OBP (.400), is second in runs scored (109); third in home runs (38), RBIs (93) and OPS (.924), sixth in stolen bases (29) and eighth in fWAR (5.2). At 26 years of age, he continues to write his legacy in MLB, and there seems to be no stadium that can dim his brilliance.

Phillies beat Mets 9-3 with Kyle Schwarber home run

On Tuesday night, Kyle Schwarber hit his 50th home run of the season and Ranger Suarez struck out a career-high 12 in six scoreless innings to lead the Philadelphia Phillies to a 9-3 victory over New York. The Phillies have won the first two games of the four-game series.

Suarez (12-6) had another magnificent performance. The left-hander pitched one-hit ball while lowering his ERA to 2.77 and again showed why the Phillies believe he can be the No. 1 starter in the postseason with ace Zack Wheeler sidelined due to complications from a blood clot.
