Josh Allen will not sleep well again after checking Bills’ unsolved problems

Josh Allen and the Buffalo Bills with their recent 27-21 survival win against the Cleveland Browns was not just a celebration, it was a wake-up call. Despite the win, it seemed that the exhaustion felt during the game left a hollow feeling in the NFL.

While the Bills moved to a 10-5 record, they secure a vital step toward the postseason, but the aftermovie from Sunday’s game tells a much more worrying story. For, Allen, the quarterback who carries the weight of Western New York on his shoulders, those “unsolved problems” surfacing at Highmark Stadium are the kind of issues that keep a franchise cornerstone awake long into the night.

The red flags seen in the win

The Bills may have survived Cleveland, but the game exposed five critical red flags that the team must keep in mind as they suggest Buffalo’s playoff ceiling might be lower than fans hope. According to recent analytical breakdowns, the victory masked systemic issues that elite AFC contenders are poised to exploit.

Despite Allen’s heroics, the Bills’ traditional ground game remains stagnant. When the offense becomes one-dimensional, the weight falls directly on Allen’s arm and legs. In the postseason, against top defenses, this hero ball approach often leads to the turnovers that have haunted Buffalo in past playoffs.

Buffalo’s ability to move the ball between the 20s remains elite, but their touchdown-to-field-goal ratio inside the red zone has reportedly plummeted. Settling for three points against a struggling Browns team is one thing, doing the same against a high-powered playoff offense could be a reason for an early exit.

The important conversation

The main question now circulating through Orchard Park is whether this team has already peaked this season. Journalistically, the Bills are in a precarious position – they are talented enough to beat anyone, but also inconsistent enough to lose to anyone.

For Allen, the internal pressure is immense. He will not just be playing against an opposing defense, he is playing against all the unsolved problems of a roster that feels increasingly present. As the cold winds of December turn into the freezing reality of January, the Bills’ superstar knows that surviving is not the same as succeeding.
