Josh Allen detailed Bills’ philosophy after wins over Jets and Ravens

Buffalo Bills kicked off the season by showing why they are the conference and Super Bowl favorites this year. After an epic comeback win over the Baltimore Ravens and a 30-10 thrashing of the New York Jets, the team is riding a hot streak that they hope to continue to extend.

Josh Allen, who suffered a nose injury, shared his health status with the press, but also the team’s future plans and mentality.

Allen seeks balance with Bills

The 29-year-old QB took a hit at midfield early in the first quarter when a Jets defender touched his facemask. This resulted in heavy bleeding that forced him off the field briefly (Mitchell Trubisky replaced him).

Despite the troubling picture, Allen’s case appears less serious than previously thought. He will likely undergo X-rays to evaluate and rule out any structural damage. However, his post-game comments suggest that he could be available for the next few games with the Bills.

Likewise, following the win over the Jets, he detailed what the team’s core thinking is heading into the next few games of the season and their workouts:

“I think the mindset that we have is never get too high, never get too low,” Allen said. “Try to find the middle and understand that it’s never as bad as you think, but it’s never as good as you think. There’s always things to improve on. And each and every week, that’s all we’re trying to do throughout practice.”

Likewise, the optimism in Bills is evident, especially given the solid start to the season, with a 2-0 record, leading the division. In addition, two of their main AFC rivals suffer a setback: the Kansas City Chiefs, suffering from a slow start, and the Cincinnati Bengals, affected by Joe Burrow’s injury.

On the other hand, the Miami Dolphins, their next opponents in the Week 3 game, are going through a rough patch, starting the year with two consecutive losses. On Thursday night, September 18, at Highmark Stadium, Josh and the Bills will be looking to extend their winning streak, while the Dophins will be fighting for their first win of the season.
