The future of Micah Parsons with the Dallas Cowboys remains uncertain amid intense contract negotiations. The situation has gone viral after a photo was circulated showing team owner Jerry Jones posing with Parsons’ mother, Sherese, during the team’s last preseason game. This seemingly friendly encounter has triggered a reaction from the player’s family, fueling speculation about the star’s fate.

Parsons’ brother, Terrence, was quick to comment on the photo, sharing the moment on X with a phrase that resonated everywhere: “Jerry is doing his best”. The comment has been interpreted as an allusion to Jones’ attempts to get closer to the family at a critical time, after negotiations stalled.

Negotiations that are not progressing

The tension between the team and Parsons’ agent, David Mulugheta, is at the center of the conflict. Jerry Jones has publicly blamed Mulugheta for the failure in negotiations, claiming that he rejected a “lucrative” offer for not being satisfied with the terms

The dispute has become personal, with Jones claiming that Mulugheta told him to “shove the contract up your a…” However, this version has been denied by former NFL agent and current commentator Ryan Clark, who spoke directly with Mulugheta. According to Clark, the agent categorically denied using that phrase.

What will happen to Parsons?

The uncertainty surrounding the contract and the signals sent by Micah Parsons himself keep the franchise and fans on edge. The photo of Jones with his mother, instead of calming the situation, has generated more questions about the Cowboys’ strategy to retain one of their most important figures.

With the start of the regular season, time is running out and negotiations are becoming increasingly complex, which could force the Cowboys to make a definitive decision on the future of one of their top players.
