Jennifer Lopez has made it clear that, at least for now, she has no intention of walking down the aisle again.
During her July 15 performance in Bilbao, Spain, as part of her European tour Up All Night, the artist responded to a sign from the audience that read, “J Lo, will you marry me?”JLo took the time to reply, although unfortunately for her fan the answer was negative: “I think I’m done with that. I tried it several times”.
The statement was captured on video by a fan and spread on social networks, and quickly attracted attention because it was the first time Lopez openly referred to the subject of marriage after her recent divorce from Ben Affleck
Who has Jennifer Lopez been married to?
The On The Floor singer has had a very media-driven love life, as her first marriage was to actor Ojani Noa in 1997, which lasted just one year.
She later married choreographer Cris Judd in 2001, but this relationship did not last long either, as they separated again in 2003.
In 2004, she married singer Marc Anthony, with whom she had twins Emme and Max, now 17 years old. Although their relationship was longer lasting, it also ended in divorce in 2014.
Later, between 2017 and 2021, she was in a relationship with former baseball player Alex Rodriguez, to whom she was even engaged, although they never made it to the altar.
In 2021, Lopez rekindled her romance with Ben Affleck, whom she had been engaged to in the 2000s. They married in Las Vegas in 2022 and held a more intimate ceremony in Georgia shortly afterwards. However, two years later, the singer filed for divorce, which was finalized in January this year.
Why did Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck break up?
According to various sources, while Lopez maintained a public and active focus on her artistic career, Affleck preferred a more reserved life away from media scrutiny.
Despite several attempts to reconcile these differences, the emotional distance grew over time. Finally, after a two-year marriage, the couple chose to separate amicably, prioritizing mutual respect and making joint decisions on aspects such as the sale of their shared property.
However, in early July, Lopez and Affleck took the mansion they shared in Beverly Hills off the market, after a year of failing to sell it. According to sources close to the couple, the decision was made jointly as a “strictly financial” matter.
Meanwhile, Jennifer Lopez continues her European tour, which will end on August 12 with a performance in Sardinia, Italy. Although her love life has been the subject of constant attention, the artist seems to be focused now on her career and a new stage without marital commitments in sight.
