Jazz Chisholm Jr. calls those who criticize torpedo bats “idiots”

With all the controversy surrounding the use of torpedo bats by Anthony Volpe and Jazz Chisholm, players for the New York Yankees, who have had a good offensive start to the season, fans of other teams have poured in criticism.

Faced with the avalanche of comments, mostly negative for thinking that they are illegal and give them an advantage when it is their turn at bat, the Yankees second baseman, the controversial player Jazz Chisholm, does not mince words when talking about the issue, stating that they comply with MLB regulations and does not hesitate to call “idiots” the fans who criticize them.

Jazz Chisholm had no limits for his criticism

Chisholm published on his personal X account the first major controversy of the Major League Baseball season, taking advantage of the team’s day off to address the issue and claim that the Bronx Bombers are not breaking any rules with their new team.

“For the idiots who say the label has been changed, they are idiots!” said Chisholm. “Nobody tries to be bothered, you just have to change the wood from the parts that are not used to those that are!”

The 27-time World Series champions caused quite a stir when the team’s broadcast first talked about their new bats, which came about after their analytics department conducted a study on their shortstop, Anthony Volpe, and his swing.

Yankees can’t deny that they have some influence

The impact of the bats is undeniable. The team hit 15 home runs in the first three games, tying an MLB record for most home runs in that same period.

Milwaukee Brewers pitcher Trevor Megill had a problem with the bats, calling them “terrible”, but San Diego Padres third baseman Manny Machado had a different opinion, admitting that he was hoping to get his hands on them before the first pitch Monday against the Cleveland Guardians.

“They should send some torpedo bats if they’re going to hit home runs like those,” Machado said. It remains to be seen whether the league will take action with these bats, but several hitters are expected to give themselves the chance and try them out.
