Jaxson Dart seemed to have cried after the painful defeat of the New York Giants against the Denver Broncos

In a dramatic showdown at Mile High, the Denver Broncos scored 33 points in the last quarter and came from behind to, in a spectacular comeback, defeat Jaxson Dart’s New York Giants 33-32, leaving the Giants with a painful loss. Will Lutz sealed the victory with a 39-yard field goal with no time left on the clock, giving Sean Payton’s team their fourth win.

If the New York Giants’ Week 2 overtime loss to the Dallas Cowboys was painful, this one might have been even worse. The Giants entered the final quarter leading 19-0, and with six minutes left, they were still ahead 26-8, an 18-point lead, yet they ended up losing a game that could have catapulted them into contention in the National Conference.

Bo Nix, who had a very tough afternoon, ended up having a dream final quarter. The Denver Broncos quarterback led the comeback with 228 passing yards, two passing touchdowns, and two rushing touchdowns, also connecting two crucial passes to set up his kicker to win the game.

Jaxson Dart’s frustrated expression said it all at the end of the game

There is no doubt that Jaxson Dart has changed the face of the New York Giants franchise, and as a rookie, he is already the leader of the offense. Against the Denver Broncos, he had another great game: 283 passing yards, three passing touchdowns, and one rushing touchdown. The big problem was an interception in the final quarter that ended up being very costly.

Still, Jaxson Dart put the Giants back in the lead at the end, but a missed extra point at the end of the game ended up costing them the match. Dart went viral after the game: after Will Lutz made the game-winning field goal, the Giants rookie looked devastated and nearly in tears; the victory had slipped through their fingers.

After the loss, Brian Daboll was completely frustrated and said in a press conference: “Tough loss. Put their heart and soul into it.” The reality is that the Head Coach’s job is hanging by a thread, and a win today would have brought much-needed relief; however, it slipped away.

The Giants continue with a very tough schedule. Next week, they will visit the Philadelphia Eagles, whom they beat last week. Still, the Giants will be underdogs again and need a win because the season is starting to slip away from them.
