The rookie quarterback of the New York Giants is in a learning process during his first experience as a professional player, and although he hasn’t played a single official snap in the NFL, he believes he’s in the right place to showcase his full potential.

The former Ole Miss QB exudes confidence, and his radiant energy seems to be winning over more than a few fans in the Big Apple.

Jaxson Dart is where he wants to be

The rookie appeared in front of the cameras to discuss his immediate presence in one of the largest sports markets, New York.

Dart joined his fellow rookie teammates at Yankee Stadium to watch the Yankees face the Red Sox, where he was accompanied by team legends David Cone and Paul O’Neill. There, he spoke about his first months with the Giants.

“I was hoping they would [take me], but how it all played out, this was the place I wanted to be,” he said.

“I felt it like, through my [top 30] visits, the whole draft process, the relationships I had developed with the coaching staff and the whole organization, it was kind of just special, and being able to play for these coaches, this organization, and this city is truly a blessing.”

Jaxson Dart outshone Shedeur Sanders in the NFL Draft, emerging as the highest-drafted quarterback after Cam Ward was selected as the number one pick. When asked if the prospect of being the next Giants QB intimidated him, he responded, “No, absolutely not.”

The player is undergoing an adaptation process and has yet to experience the true rigor of the NFL, but he’s aware of how fortunate he is to have his more experienced teammates to learn from.

“I think that when you come into a situation like this, first of all, I’m in a super special position to be able to learn from guys like Russ (Wilson), Jameis (Winston), and Tommy (DeVito), guys who have competed at the highest level,” Dart said.

It’s expected that Jaxson Dart will be the QB2 for the New York Giants, waiting for his opportunity. Russell Wilson is set to lead the offense, but if things don’t go well, the rookie could step up-anything can happen.
