Jaxon Smith-Njigba Net Worth: How much does the wide receiver earn with the Seattle Seahawks?

Jaxon Smith-Njigba has gone from promising first-round pick to centerpiece of the Seattle Seahawks’ offense in record time. After a dominant breakout season in 2025, Smith-Njigba has not only become one of the NFL’s most productive wide receivers – he’s also positioned for a massive financial leap that could reshape his net worth over the next few years.

As Seattle prepares for the NFC Championship, Smith-Njigba’s on-field explosion has turned long-term contract talks into one of the franchise’s top offseason priorities.

Breakout season sparks $113 million contract projection for Smith-Njigba

Smith-Njigba’s third NFL season was nothing short of elite. In 17 games, he led the league with 1,793 receiving yards, hauling in 119 receptions and scoring 10 touchdowns. His production wasn’t just volume-based – it was efficiency-driven. He averaged 105.5 yards per game and posted the best yards per touch (14.5) of any player in the league.

That performance has dramatically shifted how the market views his value.

According to Spotrac, Smith-Njigba is now projected to command a three-year, $113 million extension, averaging roughly $37.7 million per season.

While expensive, the projection reflects his age (just 23), résumé (two-time Pro Bowler, one-time All-Pro), and production profile as a true No. 1 receiver. For Seattle, locking in a homegrown star entering his prime could be more cost-effective than trying to replace him on the open market.

Smith-Njigba is extension-eligible for the first time this offseason after being selected 20th overall in the 2023 NFL Draft. His rise has coincided perfectly with Seattle’s championship window, making the timing hard to ignore.

Jaxon Smith-Njigba’s current salary and net worth

Before any extension kicks in, Smith-Njigba is still playing on his rookie contract with the Seattle Seahawks. Under that deal, he earned:

  • $8.23 million in 2023, including a large signing bonus
  • $1.4 million in 2024
  • $2.06 million in 2025
  • $2.71 million projected for 2026

Through four seasons, his career earnings total approximately $14.4 million, which also reflects his estimated net worth as of early 2026. That figure is impressive for a player still on a rookie deal – and it’s expected to climb rapidly once an extension is finalized.

What makes Smith-Njigba’s financial outlook especially strong is stability. Unlike older receivers negotiating second contracts in their late 20s, he’s hitting the market at peak leverage with years of elite play still ahead of him.

Seattle doesn’t need to rush, but every big performance – especially in the postseason – strengthens his negotiating position. A standout NFC Championship or Super Bowl run could push projections even higher.

For now, Jaxon Smith-Njigba has already secured generational wealth. The only remaining question isn’t if he’ll get paid – it’s when Seattle decides to make him one of the highest-paid wide receivers in the NFL.
