Jason Kelce was once a star for the Philadelphia Eagles. The 38-year-old former center was a Super Bowl champion, six-time first-team All-Pro, and seven-time Pro Bowl selection before retiring in 2024.
Now, in addition to being an NFL analyst on ESPN, he has invested in multiple businesses, such as his own sports podcast “New Heights,” which he hosts with his brother, and collaborates with other brands. However, he doesn’t usually talk business with his future sister-in-law, Taylor Swift, and he revealed why.
Jason prefers not to do business with Taylor
The eldest of the Kelce brothers is co-owner with Travis of the popular beer brand “Garage Beer,” has launched a new fragrance with Kingsford Charcoal called “Slow Burn,” and recently revealed his investment in the hot sauce brand Hank Sauce.
However, his younger brother’s future wife, Taylor, also knows a thing or two about business thanks to her music and tours. The multi-award-winning singer is one of the most prominent women in this field due to her successful professional career, but Jason prefers not to mix things up:
“We’ve tried to keep a lot of that out of the relationship. I just enjoy her being my brother’s soon-to-be wife, and aunt to my kids, and we try to leave that relationship where it should be, there,” he says in a new interview with the Wall Street Journal published on Monday, December 22.
The truth is that Swift has proven to be very close to Travis’ family, including Jason’s four daughters. He and his wife Kylie are parents to Wyatt (6), Elliotte (4), Bennett (2), and Finnley (8 months), who were seen playing and sharing with their aunt Taylor at the Chiefs vs. Chargers game, to name a recent example.
However, Jason knows what his sister-in-law represents and highlighted her work ethic and ability to remain relevant after a career spanning almost 20 years:
“Watching her operate, watching her savviness in getting her entire music catalog back, watching how she has toured the globe while also writing an entire new album, the level at which she takes control over a lot of different aspects but also allowing people to be experts in their own right, I think that a lot of that stuff is fun to watch,” he explains.
Meanwhile, the only project they undertook together was Taylor’s appearance on an episode of “New Heights,” which broke a Guinness record with 1.3 million fans eagerly awaiting it and was a huge success, where the artist announced her 12th album, “The Life Of A Showgirl.” However, he prefers not to talk business with his famous future sister-in-law.
