Jason Kelce invokes absurd feeling of going No. 2 while explaining the “Tush Push” and Travis can’t stop laughing

It has become commonplace for Travis and Jason Kelce to cause an eruption of laughter among their listeners and viewers with the release of each episode of “New Heights“. The two brothers carried over their NFL chemistry into the podcast space and haven’t looked back, turning their show into a multi-million dollar business. Of course, in order to continue making episodes, they need stuff to talk about.

Thankfully, they got plenty this week, as the NFL held their annual owners meetings in West Palm Beach, Florida. Several rule changes were announced, but one motion that didn’t get passed holds a special significance to Jason. The former All-Pro center was paramount in the creation of the infamous “Tush Push” play, which has become insanely successful for the Philadelphia Eagles. It has become so impossible to stop that other NFL franchises have been trying to get it banned from the sport.

Jason Kelce likens the Tush Push to “taking a s**t”

This time around, they failed to do so, but it will likely be discussed at more meetings next month. Jason took to the podcast to explain what the play is like for a center, and explained it as grueling as trying to go No. 2 and it won’t come out. He then makes a ridiculous face and noise that had Travis in stitches.

Jason says he’s tired of even talking about it, and Travis doesn’t agree with banning it at all. In both of their minds, it’s just a football play. What prompted Jason into the No. 2 rant was outside people “misinterpreting” his quotes on the play.

Jason then tried to explain what it’s like and why although it is definitely more demanding for a center, it doesn’t necessarily put them at more risk than any other play.

One of the quotes I saw was like, ‘I’m most concerned for the center’. I was like, ‘yeah, I get it’. I mean, it sucks. It is a grueling play, but it’s less of like a grueling play of being cold-cocked and it’s more of a grueling play of like you gotta take a s**t and it just won’t come out. And you’re just squeezing forever until that thing comes. That’s what it’s like, that’s what’s grueling about it.

Travis says he’s never experienced what Jason has while going No. 2, but he understands the sentiment.
