Jason Kelce remembers the first time he knew about them
Travis Kelce is also brother of one of the most fun TV personalities – and former NFL player – Jason Kelce, who was the latest guest at The Steam Room, a podcast featuring two of sports media’s most iconic personalities, Ernie Johnson and Charles Barkley.
During a segment of the interview, Ernie talked to Jason about the former football player’s own podcast, “New Heights“, which he co-hosts with his brother Travis. Johnson talked about the popularity of the gig and the fact that it got a whole new segment listening, particularly Taylor Swift fans. Ernie then went on to ask Kelce when did he learned about the power couple.
“Oh My Gosh, I’m trying to remember, I’m really trying to remember when that first moment was. I remember the first time he said that he was hanging out with her, and I remember just being like ‘Are you kidding me? You are hanging out with Taylor Swift, that’s insane! That’s awesome for you.” Jason said.
He went on to talked about the fact that he met some people that were personally involved with his brother. However, with Taylor Swift things were different right from the start, according to Jason Kelce‘s recount of how everything turned out.
“This felt different. And I’m talking about Travis…..just the way he talks about her and talked about her from the moment he was with her.. You could tell how much he really, really liked her right from the get go. And I think that the level early on of that was something that was very eye opening to me when we first had discussions.” Jason started.
Kylie Kelce praises Taylor and Travis’ relationship
Amid the constant media attention surrounding the relationship between Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce, Kylie Kelce, wife of former Eagles player Jason Kelce, came out to dispel rumors and express her support for the couple.
During a recent conversation, Kylie clarified the misunderstanding that arose after a dinner with Taylor Swift. The controversy began when some media outlets speculated that Kylie had rejected the homemade dinner prepared by the singer. However, Jason Kelce‘s wife explained that her lack of appetite was due to pregnancy nausea and not a personal issue. In fact, she stressed that she was able to enjoy some pancakes prepared by Taylor, which she loved.
Kylie also took the opportunity to criticize the media’s tendency to create conflict between women, noting that such narratives are “silly and counterproductive.” She emphasized that she has always been open about her appreciation for Taylor and, even more so, about how happy Travis seems to be since he started dating the pop star.
“Anyone that’s been around me in person, I am very honest about how much I love Taylor and how much I appreciate her, and the fact that it’s so obvious how happy [Travis] is with her”.
